Responsibilities for the Product Engineer
Following Design Control procedures, this position will define testing to verify product design meets design requirements
Engineering protocols, data analysis, and reports are authored by this position
Perform visual inspections of product
Interpret product drawings and specifications and design requirements
Applies principles of statistics in establishing test criteria, acceptance criteria and data analysis
Develop simple fixtures to facilitate testing and measurement
Operate complex instrumentation such as tensile testers
Author test protocols, work instructions, test reports, and operating procedures
Requirements for the Product Engineer
BSME preferred. Engineering degree required
0-1+ years experience within a regulated industry: medical device, bio, pharma, automotive etc.
Device Design and Change Control process experience to successfully provide sustaining engineering support and engineering documentation deliverables
Strong experience in applying gage R&R measurement systems analysis technique to assess measurement systems
Familiarity with ISO standard test methods and related test instrumentation preferred
Technical writing skills are required for protocol and report writing
